Veterans Day Ring the Bells of Peace on November 11th at 11 a.m. 

To commemorate the Centennial of the end of World War I, we are asking for all the bells of Gillespie County to be rung at 11 a.m. for one minute on November 11, 2018.  Let Churches, Schools, Homes and Citizens join in this moment of remembrance.  Following the ringing of the bells, there will be a wreath ceremony at the War Memorial Monument in front of the Courthouse, where the names of the fallen will be read and honored.

Services

The Gillespie County Veterans Service Officer is responsible for assisting Armed Forces Veterans and their dependents who reside in Gillespie County of the legal benefits available to them under U. S. Federal and State laws. The Veterans Service Officer reports to the Commissioners Court and performs duties under the technical guidelines established by the Texas Veterans Commission and Federal Law under C.F.R. 38. There is no charge for our services.
This office does not adjudicate claims.
